Alright, I was in Petsmart today looking for something that my BD could climb onto to bask. I came across a twig for $27, and I couldn't bring myself to do it.

My question is, what is a safe way to use logs or sticks from the backyard? Do they have potential to harm the BD? Any info is VERY appriciated.

Just wash them in 10 % bleach water to disinfect and bake in the oven at 200 degrees for about 10 minutes to make sure they are sterile. I would do the same with one I bought from a petstore as well, you don't know what could be on it.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
