Log question...

I have a log in the tank for basking that Smurf is quickly outgrowing I think. How big would a good log be for an adult?
Smurf's right now is probably 2" wide, and reasonably long. Below is a picture with him on it.
It seems like it's going to be too small.

Any log will work for you! But I like to have those tunnel logs for my beardies! And for them to have at least enough for their whole body to lay on! Good luck..

I was going to get a piece of PVC pipe from my dad to make a tunnel.
Thanks, just wanted reassurance. I may get a bigger one, because Smurf is quickly getting wider than his current log.

Yea any log will do, the only rule of thumb is that it should be as wide as the beardie so they can have their whole body on at once.
