I think I put too much heat at the basking point.Had a 100w basking lamp and added a 100w Che without really knowing the exact temp. Now Lizzy spends all her time in the cool end. I've taken the Che (ceramic heating element) but need to know how to get her back into the basking area. I am adding a mercury vapor uva uvb this pay day, so I need to get her back up to the basking lamp. Idea's ????

Get the temperatures right . She wont go to the basking spot or warm zone if it's too warm to her PERIOD.

You need something like http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/LCD-Digital-Thermometer-For-Fridge-Freezer-Aquarium-FISH-TANK-Temperature-New/191810807998?_trksid=p2047675.c100011.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140107090050%26meid%3Dbe845a27b7384d0a868b09cfd460cd25%26pid%3D100011%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D391259141696 installed permanently in at least the following spots
>> warm zone
>> cool zone
>> basking spot
>> inside hide

You have no really option other than to measure the air-temperatures and adjust the height of the basking globe (distance from the basking spot) until all these temperatures are where they need to be --- it's going to be an iterative process of trial and error.

If you can't get the warm zone and basking spot to a comfortable temperature range for the beardie (I recommend 40-42 degCelsius for the basking spot and about 30 degCelsius for the warm zone) , go to a lower wattage basking globe and then repeat the process.
Beauty of incandescent domestic par38 spot globes is you can use a dimmer to adjust their wattage and heat output, you can not do so for a MVB.

The better set up is a good domestic colorless par38 incandescent spot globe or halogen spot globe as your principle light and heat source for during the day and a 10%ubv or 12%uvb T8 or T5 (Arcadia, Exo Terra, Zoo Med) tube in a reflector hood mounted UNDER THE LID for UVA and UVB and more white light.
Turn off the CHE during the day and only use if it's going to be cooler than 20 degCelsius overnight.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
