Live basil in tank?

I just got a live basil plant from my grandparents its never been treated with pesticide and it's planted in a small soft plastic pot. Can I leave the plant in my beardies tank for her to nibble on from time to time. The UVB light is all the plant needs for light. Any help with this idea would be great!

I have organic wheat grass in a small pot..i put it in geico's tank and let him nip at it and play in it for an hour or so or till he gets bored with it then i take it out. Plants need to be watered and I worried about the humidity rise in keeping a live plant so I put it in his viv and take it after an hour. Hope this helps!
