Little Monster & Nibs - Color change

This is my "little monster" as I like to call him right now. He has no official name, as nothing has fit yet. I picked him up in October at the NARBC in Chantilly, VA.

Day 1:

He has been a terror since day 1. He has a nasty attitude and constantly bites. Over the past 2 weeks I've been working with him more, refusing to put him back in the cage when he gets an attitude with me (or tries to run). He's getting better now, and can actually come up and be held. If you let go, he is gone.

You can see his colors are really starting to come in now!

I'm hoping he continues to get nice colors, as Nibs, my female, lost hers it seems (they come out in the sun):

Maybe Nibs is dark from being out of the uv for a while during her sleepy time and/ or needs to shed. Scorch looses almost all her color when she is getting ready to shed. Today her head shed and I couldn't believe how beautiful and orange she was under there. She had steadily been getting more and more brown for weeks.

The red/orange on her comes out when she goes out in natural sunlight. Otherwise, she has black that comes out when she sleeps, with a bit of red. Sadly, she isn't nearing shed in that picture. Her colors really dulled down when she grew up. I've had her since she was about 6-8 weeks old, it was interesting watching her colors change over the past 1.5 years now.
