Zeus (actually a female, the name has stuck after a failed early gender assumption, oops) recently laid her first batch of eggs in her life. They were infertile, and of course, Zeus did not poop too much during this time.
The eggs were laid about a week ago, and we have been pumping him up with feeders, and greens/fruits since. He has been eating a lot, and today he began to poop. At first, he pooped a REALLY big poop. It was solid compact, but not entirely solid. Around a half hour later, he pooped again. Sorry that I keep mixing up pronouns, she is still a he to us D:
Like I said, a half hour the first poop, he pooped again. The poop was deep green, and this time was much more solid and not wet looking. Around a half hour later, he pooped again. Then, we decided to put him in the bath. This would help get anymore poop out, and hydration after the eggs popping out is important. So, we thought this was a good idea. After drinking a pretty nice amount of water, he pooped a little turd, and then a small amount of blood had come out when he was "wiping" on the bottom of the bath.
While he was laying eggs, when he was pushing and the vent was open, we could see the inside (obviously red) and it was like that when he was pooping, too. So, is it possible the inside of his vent just touched the bathtub floor, and some blood came off the inside of his vent? Besides pooping a lot, behavior is normal.
What are your thoughts? What should I be looking for? Thanks for any help
