Lilly and Lyla

I finally got my new baby today! She has done great so far. Other than a dark belly she has shown no signs of relocation stress. At 6 months and 104 gm, she ate a meal that would have rivaled my boyfriends 10 month old, 314 gm dragon. She had hornworms, butterworms, and crickets. We actually had to cut her off on cricket because I stupidly bought some that were way to big (we picked out the littlest ones). I have already taken several pictures so I just have to share. I will be updating this post periodically with more pictures and stories. (I have to add my funny cricket story here. Yesterday I went to feeder's supply to get crickets because I won't be able to get bulk until monday. A girl in her 20s or so was helping me. She had jeans on with torn knees. As she was almost done with my crickets she says "Oh my gosh". "What?" I asked. "A cricket just crawled into my pants." She hurried off to go take care of it and another worker came to finish my cricket order. I found it hilarious).

Christine, sorry you missed the excitement! I love the ring, I am so excited. I woke up multiple times last night and checked the ring to see if it was really there, it still doesn't feel real! My big challenge now is to get used to saying fiance instead of boyfriend. I mean he's been boyfriend for nearly six years!

Dawn, gee, can't think of any reasons I would want to torture you. Well, any besides how fun it is :mrgreen: !

Congratulations Sara!!! Im so happy for you and the ring is beautiful (its actually quite similar to mine)!!! I had a hard time getting used to 'fiancé'.... by the time I actually got used to it, I really should have been calling him 'husband' - I still refer to him as my boyfriend/fiancé a lot more often than I should!!! OOPSY!

O good for you!!! I hated the planning part.... once I had my dress I really didnt care about the rest - if it hadnt been for my mum and my little sister, everything would have been a disaster!! I was so disorganised that I had to pick up my marriage licence 2 hours before the wedding!

Wellll I have some big news! Lilly's going to be a big sister!!! I went to stay with Renee for a week and picked out my new baby, Lyla!! She'll be here next Tuesday hopefully. She's a very sweet little girl; very hyper in her tank, but she calms down as soon as I pick her up. So, without further ado... here is Miss Lyla Jane!! (Sorry for the low quality photo, I'll upload more later).

She's such a cutie pie! Like I already told you, Pookie was like that when I first met him in the pet store -- He was one of the most active babies in the tank, but as soon as he was in my hand, he hunkered down and never moved.

Lyla will have a great home with you, Lilly, Jackie, and Abby.

Oh Sara, she's adorable, CONGRATULATIONS, I wonder how Lily's going to take an intruder, mind you she's so cute, maybe Lilly's heart will melt & they'll get along gangbusters.

How's Renee, haven't checked her post lately, hope all is well.

So now, have you started talking about wedding dates? This is SO exciting, too, getting married is alot of fun, just relax on your day & enjoy everything!

Hehe thanks, I already love my baby girl. It was hard to leave her (and Renee) to come home .
Renee's doing well, she has 5 clutches right now (2 are Barb's grandbabies, 1 is a yellow and red which is what Lyla is, 1 is a red, and she had a beautiful clutch of leucistics hatch out while I was there). So the animals and her human kiddos are keeping her quite busy.
I am hoping Lyla will be coming on the 26th, but we'll have to see how all that plays out.
As for weddings, the date is June 22, 2013.

It's good to hear that Renee & her family are all doing well. She must be really busy with babies hatching all over the place. Isn't it nice that you have one of Barb's granddragons

Don't forget to start the countdown when you know your baby is on the way, we'll all keep you company! It's going to be an exciting time! I wanted to get a baby, but 5 is enough to keep me busy.
