I finally got my new baby today! She has done great so far. Other than a dark belly she has shown no signs of relocation stress. At 6 months and 104 gm, she ate a meal that would have rivaled my boyfriends 10 month old, 314 gm dragon. She had hornworms, butterworms, and crickets. We actually had to cut her off on cricket because I stupidly bought some that were way to big (we picked out the littlest ones). I have already taken several pictures so I just have to share. I will be updating this post periodically with more pictures and stories. (I have to add my funny cricket story here. Yesterday I went to feeder's supply to get crickets because I won't be able to get bulk until monday. A girl in her 20s or so was helping me. She had jeans on with torn knees. As she was almost done with my crickets she says "Oh my gosh". "What?" I asked. "A cricket just crawled into my pants." She hurried off to go take care of it and another worker came to finish my cricket order. I found it hilarious).
On to pictures:

We don't get pumpkin spice lattes over here :( but a normal latte would cost us close to £4- that's like $6 or $7!!!!!!!! I haven't been in starbucks since I left over a year ago- without my discount it seems a pointless waste of money!!!

Good luck with your teaching! It sounds really tough, but I'm sure it'll pay off in the end. :D My AP classwork troubles seem trivial now... "OTL

How's the girl doing?

Oh T, you don't know what you're missing! They are by far my favorite hot-coffee drink. I love them. There are days they are worth $4 (like 12 hour workdays lol)

Hmmmm I'll have to try that! Lilly's awake, I don't know about how wide lol. She's usually nearly asleep by the time I get home, but perks back up when she sees she's getting mommy time.

Quick update. Today was my last day of work (except for an occasional sunday afternoon). I'm going to miss the kids, but I'm very relieved that I can focus on student teaching. Lilly is doing well. Falling asleep with her grandma while I get some work finished and inhale some food. She has been on a diet of fruits, veggies, and 5-6 supers every three days for several weeks now and is still holding steady at 716 grams. I spose I won't worry too much (yeah, right  )

Hi Sara! How have you been?
Are you missing the kiddo's yet? How is the student teaching going?
Is Miss Lilly getting sleepy along with all the other beardies on the boards?
Hope all is well with you and Lilly. :D
(Sorry for all the questions, LOL)

Hey Dawn-
I really haven't had time to miss the kiddos. I'm going to watch them for a few hours on the 17th. I think I'm going to try to watch them one day/ month or so that way I can keep in touch with them.
The student teachings going well. It is definitely a challenge at times. I am trying to teach the five lowest performing first grade students how to read which many days leads to quite a headache. It can be very rewarding too, though. I have one first grader who I know is living through hell. He totally exists in his own little world, and I don't blame him because I would rather live in my own head than go through what he goes through every day. Any way, today when I came to get him he ran out the door and gave me this huge hug. I'm used to these kids hugging me and even dangling from me, but than one warmed my heart :D . I actually went to immediate care after school today because I've been having horrible ear pain and my doc couldn't get me in. Apparently I have an inflamed TMJ (jaw) from the surgery which was almost 2 months ago which is making my ears hurt.
Lilly really isn't getting sleepy. She seemed to do like a mini-brumation for a couple of weeks then realized brumation meant no food and she didn't want to do it. Today she ate 6 supers and a whole bowl of greens. It's nearing 10 here and she's still more or less awake on my shoulder (she gets up around 8 am!)
How are you and your family? I hope you're doing well!

PS... Lilly is going to school with me next Thursday. I need good lizard books for both 1st and 3rd grade students. Suggestions?

Hrm, I remember a story, not about a lizard, but it was called Dragon Soup. Good one if you're going reptiles, can't think of any child's lizard books. Just avoid the one in this pic! (courtesy of Reptimama)

I found a good one in our library under kids books. I can't remember the author, but anything by Philippe (?) can't remember last name, is very good. There must be other things about bearded dragons on the kids area in the library. Hope you find a good one. The one I found showed lots of pics of dragons at different breeders and they all were nice and plump and easy to handle. So that helped alot, as we had it out a few times when we just had Sweetie. Once Lonzo, Leo and Rubio entered the picture we got all our info from this site. Plus we didn't have the "only child" worry warts, that was just for Sweetie, who we had for 2 years before Lonzo, then almost another year for Rubio & Issy, then Angel rescue Mar/09. We knew lots more about dragons by then!

Lily is a beautiful dragons, I just love her colours. She's not fat, so she's at the right weight. I say don't change a thing.

Hugs
Deb

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
