I have a exo-terra 36 wide x24 tall x 18 deep tank. Currently with a 90 Watt PAR38 flood light for basking and reptisun t5 10.0 24" for uvb. His cool side of the tank seems pretty dark and I wanted to add some ambient light. Current temps stay around 75-78 degress in cool side.

I want a bulb with high kelvins (5000k) . I really like the daylight look. So i'm looking at CFL or LED bulbs mainly. Are these safe for bearded dragons? I read some older post saying that they might be bad for their eyes? Or should I just use a regular incandescent household bulb?

Im probably over thinking this but anyone have any input?

Thanks.

An incandescent bulb may bump the temps up too high. An LED bulb should be fine as long as it's overhead and well out of the way. Depending on the type it could make things look a little weird if it's on it's own but when mixed with the basking light and T5 I wouldn't think it would cause an issue. Another option would be to get another T5 fixture and use a daylight bulb over the far side.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
