Thanks in advance for any help given here1
We have been working hard at getting our tank set up before we get our baby. Heres what we have so far,36x18 tank from Carolina Custom Cages,... hide spot < basking rocks, logs Ceramic tile bottom and lots of love !
We are getting ( with everything turned on and using a cheapie digital from Petsmart ( waiting on our digital probes to come in ) reading of 80 0n cool side and 105 on his basking rock. the only way I get a higher reading is directly on his hammock which is about 6 inches from the basking bulb.
I will attempt to include a pic,...
Also ,...is his hammock to close at 6 inches away from light ?

Hi there , I cannot quite make out the photo - do you have uvb? You’ll need a t5 high output 12% Arcadia or a t5 high output 10% to get the best uvb
What temps are you getting?

Yes, sorry about the pic size I am new here still.
we have a 36x18 Carolina Custom Cage tank
22" T5 10.0 usb inside mounted with an additional end basking bulb that is attached 75 Watt hallogen
plus an extra bulb and dome that I had lying around.
someone suggested a ceramic heat emitter ?
Readings are 80 cold side and 105 right on basking rock but 115 on hammock which is 6 inches from bulb

I'd keep the basking area a bit further from the light if you can. It should stay well out of reach. I prefer about 12''. Which UVB light are you using/ A 22'' or 34'' T5 tube should do nicely. Those should also sit about 12'' above the main basking area.

Try uploading a photo again here https://www.beardeddragon.org/useruploads/ then you can post to your thread using the XIMG button to select uploaded photos.

I commented in one of your other threads and the 22'' T5 is good. 6'' is a bit close for the basking light though. I'd try to keep the UVB and basking light both about 12'' above the main basking area (a branch or similar can offer closer access but the main basking spot should be 12'' away and the basking light should remain well out of reach to prevent burn risks.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
