Light fixture problem

I need a fixture for the 24 inch tube light. I got a 24 inch shop light from Mendards. The only problem I thought was that it required hardwiring. I can fix that so I can plug it into the socket. Well, I opened it and I have to assemble it. I can do that. But one problem I didnt think of is how to attach it or set it on the tank because the light will be positioned away from the fixture and it don't come with a dome cover. I need to direct the light down into the tank.

Right now the beardie is small and in a 20 gal tank. I have the 55 gal on the porch waiting for her to grow up. How can I use the light? I know I cant set it right on the screen top. I cannot set it up inside the tank. The light is the same length as the tank and will not fit. I took a picture to show you the light, tank and beardie.

I was told that she is too small for the larger tank but the light is too large for the smaller tank. Help!

Also, I thought out buying a kitchen light fixture. But my husband don't think the light would last long because they do not have ceramic ends. But then I noticed that this light I bought does not have ceramic either.

I measured her today, 8 inches long. Is she big enough for the 55 gal or still too small. I need to get her light up and I can't. If I can use the larger tank, I can make a wooden frame for the light fixture and attach it to the inside of the tank. If she has to stay in the small tank for any length of time, I wont have a uvb light for her.

There's no reason she needs to stay in the small tank. The only reason to keep them in small tanks is to make it easier to catch food, but that's easily remedied by feeding in a seperate enclosure... which if you move her into the 55 gallon, you can use the 20 gallon for if you don't already have a seperate feeding place. She will not be "overwhelmed" by the size of the 55 gallon, she'll probably really appreciate the extra room.

Ok thanks, I will move her to the larger tank. I attempt to feed her crickets in a small tank that used to house hermit crabs. But she has only eaten one cricket so far. But I blame that on that she does not have uvb light yet. She gets her worms and salads in her tank. So I wasnt concerned about feeding her but just concerned about the tank being too big. Now I get to make another hidey for her!! I like that part, lol. The uvb is the only thing I am missing from her tank.
Thanks :D

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
