Hi guys! :D
I was wondering about light cycles for bearded dragons, because I have read that it is best not to try and force your beardie into brumation, or keep it form it, but just let it do what comes naturally but I'm a bit confused what you would need to do for that.
Which option would be better?

Summer: 14 hours on 10 hours off
Autumn: 12 hours on 12 hours off
Winter: 10 hours on 14 hours off
Spring: 12 hours on 12 hours off

OR

Summer: 12 hours on 12 hours off
Autumn:12 hours on 12 hours off
Winter:12 hours on 12 hours off
Spring: 12 hours on 12 hours off

Thanks in advance!

I do similar to the former, I match my timer to local sunrise/sunset. Pepper seems to get droopy as the sun goes down no matter when his lights are gunna go off so that works for us. Some do fine with a 12/12 schedule.

You can actually induce brumation, and for the dragons it isn't unlike the natural progression of events. You must acertain though that your dragon is healthy and not too young, and so this advice is propagated, because someone might not know that the dragon has a problem, and try to brumate it.
I also vary my light cycle according generally to day length of each season.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
