finding it nearly impossible to gather the motivation necessary for life.

The holiday season just kind of makes me sick; All these people flaunting their perfect lives and families. Oh yeah? Well we've had the same Christmas lights up for 8 years, never took them down; Hows that for holiday spirit...

With what I'm going through at "home"(if you can even call it that), I really can't stand all these happy people talking about the christmas they're having this year. Makes me want to crawl into bed with a bottle and not come out till... Never.

I'm gonna stop there before I go too far.

LG is still with me, I don't know what else to say. I can't do anything for her except feed her and give her water. I don't know if there's anything wrong with her because I simply don't have access to a vet. Money is tight as it is, but when you don't drive it makes getting certain things almost impossible.

I would post pictures, but last week I couldn't afford to turn my phone back on so I didn't. Pictures are on there, but no way to get them.

I'm lucky I still have internet. Even though I pay for it, there is nothing stopping my mom from getting way too drunk and ripping the modem out of the wall(already happened many times).

What can I say; I hate living in this house, but I can't move into a tent until I rehome LG. Once I do, I am considering an extended "camping trip" without an end date. There is a nice little bit of wilderness near me, I doubt I would be bothered much if I set up in there somewhere.

OK, I'm ending this post. Waaaay too depressing for the majority of you, I'm guessing.

Whatever happened to the apartment that you were looking into? No go because they won't take LG?

Jason, pay those "happy families" no mind. Most of them are probably putting up a front and they're really not all that happy deep down inside. Christmas should be a time to reflect on the past year and be blessed that you're still here and have the people/things you treasure with you. It isn't about extended family gatherings with people you haven't seen in decades nor receiving gifts that you don't need or already have.
So, with that said, you should focus on LG and how she loves you so -- and how we all adore you and wish you the best.

Jason, I agree ~ LG has so much love and trust for you, we all feel you need to stay together if possible. I personally think she is only here today because you haven't given up on her, and she has reciprocated HowlinGale, I hope you're getting a great response, we have a lot of love here in our little community!

Oh Jason, how I relate to you. I cant afford my rent this month, let alone christmas gifts. I had to borrow money to buy flour so I can at least make cookies... Screw 'happy homes'. Seriously. If I had any money I would help gale with her care package. God knows you could stand a smile right now. I really wish you and I lived closer; I need a hug, and I bet you do too.

Running off to live in the woods has always been a dream/answer of mine, but I would never leave my furred, feathered, and scaled family behind. Also, I know it is cliche but wherever you go, there you are. I wish you and LG all the best, my friend. Same as always, let me know if there is anything I can do to help, even if it is just listening.

Thanks everyone for the friendly messages and considerations... I need nothing but peace, quiet and a low blood pressure, so please don't send me anything. However, if something for LG does show up on my door step I will not be a Scrooge about it, unless they're bah-hum-bugs(Get it? Man am I good with the stupid jokes or what)...

Been hanging out in the hills the last several nights until things get 'quieter' at home...

It's a routine I've become used to(and even relatively comfortable with) over the past few years.

Got some neat pictures that I am going to find some way to upload because they are pretty cool I think(constellations, nightscapes, etc).

Can't believe how much the holidays have changes in the past 20 years for me. My Dad was never there, but now that he's really gone it's just sucked all the thrill out of things that used to bring me joy... My Grandma was ALWAYS there for me, and since she passed I have lost the only person in my family that I can truly turn to when things are bad.

Anyhow, this is the LG thread, not the "whine about my own life on Christmas Eve" thread( :roll: )... So I guess I'm done talking about all that garbage.

I see that there are 3 unread messages, so I better get to those before I fall asleep... Only 11 more minutes to Christmas...

The family drama was about as I expected, though I was surprised by some of the presents(I expected nothing from my family this year, or any other Christmas for that matter)...

My cousin, whom I haven't seen in 10 years, apparently got a playstation 3 a while back and wanted to send me his ps2 because he heard I was kind of bored/depressed.

Well that was earlier this year sometime and with all the drama going on I totally forgot about him saying anything about it.

On Christmas morning, I was so confused when I opened a package to find a ps2(slim) wrapped in bubble wrap; I couldn't make sense of it at first but after I was reminded of the conversation I had over the phone earlier this year, I started to understand what it was.

I am terrible at video games now a days, but since he was nice enough to think of me this Christmas, I am going to try to play this game he sent along(metal gear solid something, I think it's a sequel).

Well today is the 26 and I am sick. Last night I was feeling well enough, except for my upper lip and right under my nose was chapped and sensitive... Woke up feeling like the subject of a fecal exam( I feel like poop, :lol: ) and just can't seem to shake this headache and sinus pressure.

I have 2 more days till I have to go back in to work, so here's hoping that I get better before then.

Time to go lay back down. These lights and the computer monitor aren't helping this headache; I just wanted to come online and tell everyone thank you for thinking of us this Christmas.
