Jason I think LG was around the same age as my Abu was, if I remember correctly.... she would have been around 3 now!!

I guess he is about 3. Time flies when you're having fun!

I took some pictures today while feeding him, not a bunch but I figure a couple pictures a day is better than a few every month. :roll:

I think some of these came out pretty well, let me know which is your favorite:

How can you pic a favorite pic? Love the first one, he looks so fierce going after that cricket!
It's hard to believe his age........I remember way back and the beginning, still gives me goose bumps!

Sorry for the late update, some stuff came up last night that had to be dealt with until about 4 am...

Here are those pictures; Yesterday, LG went to the bathroom and then decided to run through it and spread it all over his cage...

So of course I had to take him out and give him a thorough cleaning:

I had to strip the whole cage down and clean everything from top to bottom with 'nolvasan' and anti-bacterial soap. Since I had the whole cage taken apart, I took the opportunity to change LG's cage around a little;

I used to have 3 boxes that were level with each other. these were used to raise LG's living space up within the reaches of the UV-B. Now that he is bigger and stronger, I decided to cut the boxes so that they were stepped down, one by one:

I used cardboard and rolled and stuffed paper towel into the gaps so he wouldn't feel inclined to squeeze his head through one:

This change also changed his cave a bit by making it deeper. Which is good, because he has pretty much outgrown it. I think I am going to design a cardboard cave like I had with Buddy(I don't know if anyone remembers his enclosure, but it was pretty much a cardboard castle :lol: ):

Alright well thats pretty much it for now. I'll continue taking pictures and posting them as often as I can. :wink:

Ha..ha! So LG has figured out a way to get out of his viv. :lol:

Thanks everyone, I actually revised his enclosure one final time. I removed the log hide that he has finally outgrown, and replaced it with a "cardboard cave".

I'll post pictures tonight after dinner. :wink:

P.S. I also took some new nature pics, so I'll be updating that thread in the off topic forum too.

To get him to eat more veggies try (if you can afford it) mixing in some fresh basil into the salad. I had a male (dont worry he didnt pass, we were just lizard sitting) who would not eat unless I put some fresh basil in the salad. Also be wary of romain,it can give them the runs. Try endive, escarole, kale, they are all about the same price and better for yoru beardie. I make a mix of all of them for my pig of a female wtih some basil in it. You could also try a jar of baby food such as raspberry to see if he/she likes it. Oh yeah, also look under "sexing" in the search bar, that will help you try to figure it out, although it can be difficult to sex them.
IFyou search " poop" under the search bar you can find all kinds of topics on what normal poop should look like. THe male we had pooped 2-3 times a week, my female goes everyday, sometimes twice a day!!!
Under the care sheets there is a whole list of things that they can eat, and no eat and so on. I found it super helpful when trying to find what mine liked to eat.
Wish I could help you with the lights, but being in Canada make things a litle difficult LOL

Sorry it took so long for the update. My camera got chomped by my puppy so there was some drama. Here is LG's new hide. He really likes it, he goes down in there all the time. I'm thinking about a little ramp to bridge the gap to the "rooftop" where the paper towel and leaves are:

My mom let her out of the kennel in the morning then got in the shower without waking me up. I woke up to her yelling. Great morning that was.

At least the camera still takes pictures, thank goodness.
