ROFL That is brilliant, I know we have a doll bed around here somewhere. That and some fleece are on the todo list this weekend.

When I made that little futon and pillows for Bertha, she laid in bed the whole first day it was in the play yard. I made a joke that she was like Brian Wilson, just decided to stay in bed. We were doing some work on the balcony that day, and as much as she always liked to watch us, she did it from the comfort of her bed that day. We walked in and out of the room and the beady little eyes followed us, but she stayed in bed!

Oh my gosh I just screamed (laughing) at the Brian Wilson comment. I'm a huge, huge fan, so it was funny to me.

So I threw together a very make shift play pen and set it up by the front window. I put some of his furniture in there with a heat lamp and bed that he likes sleeping on. He sat in there for about 2 minutes then got a look outside and FROZE! For about 10 minutes he just sat there staring outside. Then he just bolted and ran around the play pen trying to hide under everything. After a while he came back out and decided he wanted out and climbed the branch inside and leaped to my hand an over the wall LOL. Now he is just running around on the floor next to me. Any ideas as to why he is freaked by the outside? It is a beautiful blue sky.

That is possible, it is not the first time he was in it though. He spent a couple days this week in it while I worked from home. Today was the first day he was in the front room. I thought he would like the sun and seeing everyone walking around. Maybe too much too soon.

A lot of beardies freak out the first time they experience outside.
Mr Dargon used to run to the other side of his viv if something moved.

Birds scare them, as they are natural predators.

Holding them while they look outside helps.

Eventually Mr Dargon loved watching outside. Then I started taking him out there. That was a different experience.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
