Hi, i have a bearded dragon. He has been perfectly fine for the 7+ months i've had him. About a week ago he was very dry and was about to shed his whole body minus the tail and legs. He shed two days ago. however ever since he looked like he was about to shed he's been acting more lethargic. In the last few days I've set him in the sink for a half an hour or so and watched him as he swam around. He drinks like mad every time i set him in there which is 2-3 times a day lately. He doesn't like his favorite foods like he usually attacks them. He ate some lettuce the other day, which was encouraging, but he's back to not eating and still drinks like mad. I'm not quite sure what to think of it. I would like to bring him into the vet, but its hard to tell when is the time to bring him in and when it will be something that will just pass. Any ideas as to what is wrong with him? He's shed plenty of times in large portions before, like all dragons. Nothing has changed in his diet, enclosure, or handling. Only thing that i can think of thats changed is his shedding recently.
