leopard or skink

i am debating on whether i will get a leopard gecko or a blue tongue skink. i will have room for only 1 skink or 1 leopard but i cant decide. so here are a few questions.
which cost less?
which has less work?
which needs a smaller cage?
can i handle any?
what are their diets?
what lights will i need?
what temps?
what humidity?
what substrate?
how many hiding spots?

I don't know much about either species, specifically, but a blue tongue skink needs a MUCH larger space than a leopard.
