Hi, so about 2 months ago I noticed a bubbley thingy had grown under my Leopard geckos - Taquito - arm... I looked it up and I read somewhere it may be a fat tumor, but I wanted to know if anyone could tell me for sure or if it's something more serious. It doesn't seem to be hurting him, he doesn't care if I poke it or anything... he doesn't even seem to notice it is there.

Here is a picture - it is actually pretty large in person. his arm is just hiding

And another pic... because he is just so pretty. :3

It looks to me like a burn! Do you have any heat rocks or heatmats in the tank? If so, check the temps of em..

I have a heatmat that is only on really when the tank is exceptionally cold, which it hasn't been in a while, or when the bulb is out. I'm not sure if he got it last time the bulb was out, but it may be the case. But he has had it for a long while (2-3 months or so) and it has gotten bigger since I noticed it. I'm not sure if leopard gecko burns are like that, though. I read somewhere it may be a fat tumor, but I'm not sure I believe that, especially because he really hasn't had a really fat tail until recently. (There was another gecko in the tank with him who is very mean and would eat more crickets then him, so I split them up for a while) thinking of taking him to a vet to have it looked at, do you think that is a good idea?

I think that is a great idea, you should take him to a vet right away... If it was really a burn then it would not be getting bigger like it is.

He's been doing fine, no pain or anything. He has an appointment next thursday with the only reptile vet in the area, who hopefully isn't bad. I'll let you know what happens :3

I had to switch his appointment to friday, in the mean time he is shedding. it's still there though. Also he got his tank cleaned today, so he's doing good for now.

Also, I noticed the female who was in the tank with him has the same bumps in the same areas, but she has more of them, and some are higher on her body than on his. I may bring her in also, but she is very skittish and untrusting, so she may not let me pick her up to bring her. I swear she is impossible to bond with... half the time I walk past her she screams at me o_O' I'm not sure why she is like that.

Her name is Queso, she doesn't have her original tail. When we got her it had already been ripped off by a different leo in the same tank. Maybe that's why she is so mean? is that possble? o_O' anyway, here she is before her last shed. I've noticed after that shed, she is starting to get stripes. :p

Also I found a few baby pictures of taquito... here he is :3

Just got back from that vet.

It was horrible. I walked up to check in and they informed me that the usual reptile vet had fridays off, even though they let me switch the appointment to today. Which was originally fine because they had another guy who looked at reptiles too, but he was in a surgery. So we waited for about 15 minutes, then eventually they put us in a room and weighed him, then we sat for another 15, the guy came in, i handed Taquito to him, and he proceeded to flip him over, force his head to one side, push his arm forward, and start poking at the lump. I was freaking out. Then taquito bit this horrible guy, which was deserved... Taquito has never bit anyone before, ever. He really must have been hurting him, I thought he was gonna break his tail off, or his arm. But the guy shook it off, and decided to lance the bump. He numbed it with a gel, and drained it with a syringe. It was a clear liquid. The vet told me that it was more then likely a bump from a hunting accident or a fall, no big deal.

He seems to be in shock a bit, but otherwise doing okay. I'll be keeping an eye on him though and hopefully he will heal up fine.

I don't think so, he said reptile pus has the consistency of like melted candle wax and is white. this was clear and watery. I hope he doesn't test it, I don't want to ever go back there.

Also he's healing up fine now. he wasn't eating for a couple days, but he is eating and moving and everything fine now. the spot looks wrinkly, like loose skin, but is definitely doing better. I'll keep an eye on it :3

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
