leaving on vacatin-need an opinion

We will be gone on vacation for a week, and need to leave our beardie behind We are going to pay someone to take care of him. He is coming 2 times a day for 7 days. I was curious as to what you think would be fair to pay him? I don't want to pay more than I have too, but you all know how extensive their care is and I don't want to short change him on all the effort needed. (don't forget we are talking about having to feed the crickets too! lol)

What do you think I should pay?

Any ideas would be appreciated!

Well i think several things have to be factored in. How old are they (teen from next door?) If they like reptiles and if they will be handling him/her, bathing her and such or just dumping crickets and salad in a tank?

it is a teen. He likes Goliath, but is new to reptiles, so I have to leave very detailed instructions. I know he will take good care of him though. The biggest problem is that he lives on the other side of town. It is about a 20 min. drive. So I figure I need to figure out how much, then add a tank of gas on to that

Well the petsitter i go through does it professionally and she charges 10/day. So for a week that would be $70. I would say you would pay him less than that since the "professional" gives baths and has ensures that they are out of their cage for a certain period of time. I'd say 40-50 bucks. Guess it depends how much you are also giving him for gas.
