We are taking a mini-vacation up the road for the weekend, and I was going to leave Ed behind this time. We are leaving Friday around 2 and won't be back until late Sunday night.

I plan to leave one bulb on (the small one) and give him a box in his cage to hid from the light at night.
I also plan to feed him LOTS before we go and leave some dried crickets and veggies in his dish.
He has never drank out of a dish, so I don't really think he would drink water.

Any thought?

Oh, and here are some more pics of Ed on vacation with us.

I would bring the tube uvb as well as a heat light, and take him with you. He will be a bit stressed, but that is in my opinion, much better than being left alone.
Besides, he can have his own travel thread and offer suggestions to other dragons for destinations ;)
Ed, the traveloscity dragon ;)
lol
Janie.

The issue is the hotel we are staying at... they have a "No Pets!" policy. (with exclamation point)

Seriously spend 8 bucks and get a timer. 20 bucks if you want a cool digital one. It makes life much easier both on and off vacation.

woohoo! I would hook all of your lighting up to a power strip and just plug that into the timer

and then hit up radio shack and get a servo, jerry a little lever on the servo, connect it to an AC/DC converter, and plug it into the timer so that when it hits a certain time, the servo spins, the lever moves, and the days serving of phoenix worms gets dumped into the viv hahaha. (I've serisouly thought about this one)

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
