Hi. I am getting ready to purchase a beardie. I have been setting up his home and doing lots of research. My main hesitation is what I can do with my beardie when I am away. It isn't alot, but twice a year we usually go away for a week, or every now and then, maybe a weekend. How do I handle that situation? I don't want to do anything that may hurt or endanger my beardie!

My advice would be to make sure you have someone you trust and trained to take care of him while you are away. It is better to NOT move them to a new location for a week because of relocation stress but, if you have to do it that way be prepared for a rough week with him when you return. They don't deal with change very well. It may take him a week or so to readjust to moving around like that.

Thanks for all the advice. I am getting my beardie from a local breeder, so I will see first if they offer boarding or know of someone who does.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
