Ok so Draco used to be pretty active. But now he hardly moves unless to poop. I work during the day 630 to 330 so i dont see much of what he does during the day except weekends. Lately he is not basking he is laying on the cool side of the tank on the bottom head down. and doesnt move. still eats and poops. eats his salad because some of its gone when i get home. at first he was eating crickets then i switched him to supers which he seems to love. Im not sure how old he is but he is about 18 inches long and has put on a lot weight since ive had him.
setup
40 gallon feeder
repti glo 10.0 ( i know i have been reading that they are bad will work on replacing it but i just bought it 2 months ago.
yesterday i switched his red basking light for another light i believe its a zilla one teying to get his temps right its was about 104 yesterday

The other uvb he had had a silver strip on it this one does not should it? do you think it is his uvb becaause its the repti glo. what if i buy the reptisun and it doesnt work.
i have not had a vet visit yet. im looking for a reptile vet in my area. But he is still eating and pooping
I bath him about every other day i do not have a water bowl in his tank. he used to drink the water but now i have to keep dripping it o nhis nose for about 5 minutes until he will start licking at it.
I am just not sure whats wrong if anything is. Its that he isnt basking thats throwing me off he used to.
hope all of this makes sense
thanks

You should definitely get a fecal test done.
Lack of moving is usually due to improper temps (will effect their digestive system and mental health. Proper lights have a factor in mental health too) or your beardie is sick. The fecal will tell you if he has parasites like pin worms (which can reduce activity level and greatly effect appetite and weight gain) especially if he/she has not had one yet.
Repti-Glows have been known to cause problems in beardies sometimes too (they have been working on it, dunno about newer ones, but definitely the older models) it has something to do with the wavelength the light is on I think.
You did not mention his age or the temps, but a baby and juvie like it at 105-110 usually with adults at 100-105 (may vary depending on your dragons likes, but thats the general rule)

Hopefully someone more experienced than me will show up with some advise too =)

Thanks for th advice. I am not sure at all how old he the person who gave him to me didnt know either tonight he was hiding under his paper towels because i moved his lights to the side he kept staying on if I let him out he is a little more active. like I sad I am currently trying to find a vet here and get the money together for the fecal. I am really beginning to think its his lights or the temp is too hot it was 104 when i checked this evening I will try to raise his basking lightup and see if I can cool it off a little IDK I wish he could talk to me. I did get him some crickets last night he ate a few. today wouldnt eat one he tried but couldn't catch it because he is slow and has been since I got him he did eat about 6 supers he loves those things he didnt poop today but he usually an every other day pooper. BTW he is good size and eats like i would imagine an adult would so i am guessing he is at least over a year I have neve seen any headbobbing or anything from him.
Thanks again

If the crickets give you too much trouble you can freeze them (will kill them) or stick em in the fridge to slow them down. Give him an easier time to catch them all.

So i think my guy is trying to brumate he does not want to eat he just hides. I got him out last night for a bath because i want to keep him hydrated and i dried him off and had him on my lap on a towel well he started walking around and i had a pile of those reusable grocery bags he climbed in and went to sleep silly boy. So my question is should i still be bathing him and leaving his lights on the normal schedule or do i just leave him be? Yesterday he didn't even come out of his towel. He also hasnt pooped in a while which has me worried so i have been bathing him and rubbing his tummy. i don't feel any impaction however at the base of his tail it is hard but it feels like bone its the same on top. Im not sure how to explain that but its not his tummy. his tummy feels nice and soft and fat. Poor guy i think i over did the supers and now hes a fatty. I need to find a good feeder that is inexpensive and not as fatty. I despise crickets and he is not fond of them either.

Dubia are wonderful, twice the protien as crickets, and they will not bite him. They can't fly or climb, and don't chirp all night. (If your within a foot of them you can hear them skitter, it's kinda funny) They are pricy to get started, but if you do a colony then in a few months it will be self sustaining.

I am seriously considering this. I have talked to my hubby about it but all he heard was roaches and NOOOOO WAYY! So I will keep at him until he gives in. Question though do they have to be maintained at a certain temperature or is this something I can keep in my garage because it is about to be winter here and i definitely won't get him to let me keep them in the house.
Thanks

Lowest is 70 i believe but they really thrive on 92ish. Just tell him you want a baby, then say you'll settle for roaches after a few days lol

LMAO the only problem is hes fixed (as in no babies). Could say I want to adopt a baby then roaches would definitely not be an issue. Heheh

Well Draco was up and about all weekend. I did not want to feed any more worms until he pooped which he did (hadn't pooped for a couple days). So I gave him 5 or 6 more. He is really confusing because some days he will just lay there. There was 3 days last week where he didn't come out of his blanket except when I took him out to bath him. I was for sure he was brumating. But saturday I uncovered him and he went to his basking spot and then pooped and was just like his normal self. Crazy Dragon. Friday is Payday though so I am going to order a repti sun because I am worried about the repti glo being bad. So we will see how that works out. He was still sleeping when I left hopefully he will be up and basking. Ooo and I moved his basking light up higher I think it was too hot for him IDK there are so many different factors that can change their behavior.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
