So, I have officially determined that Nox is the laziest beardie in the world. He will sit in a corner of the tank and wait for his crickets to walk by him. If they start coming close, he'll get all ready to strike, but if they move away he'll just sit back down.
...sigh... anyone else out there have a lazy dragon?

Me, lol. I think it might just be the season, though... I've only had her for five months, but Krishna has gotten progressively lazier... health is good, lots of food, no reason to just sit around all day, but that's what she does, lol. Welcome to the club.

When it comes to eating... Kinno is the laziest beardie known to man.... I had to swat his crickets with the flyswatter. He refuses to chase anything. Supers were a good choice for him intill i cleaned his tank and found them under his rock... When a worm moves faster than your beardie yep thats lazy lol

Add Pablo to the list. My sister and brother in law came into town for the holiday and wanted to see Pablo eat. They weren't very impressed by his "hunting." He sits and waits for every cricket to get within tongue length from him- haha. I still love the lazy guy though.

Redrock was a good hunter .... when she was still a juvie. Rosie Zoom zoom did the same thing. When she was first here, she'd hunt crickets with her tail curved up in the air, now she won't eat crickets. She'll eat a superworm, when she's hungry enough. I think both of our girls are training us to hand feed them.

Hahah mine is the same, sits and waits for them to walk by... if she dosent catch them she wont run after them, but just wait for the next one....

Does anyone's adult beardies hunt?? Mine quite a while ago, and if I don't put her dish of phoenix worms close enough to her, she won't eat them. Seems it's too much effort to walk over to them :D
I used to play a game with one of my baby dragons when he was about 5mo old: I'd clear a space in the living room, pushing all the furniture to the side (and vacuuming, of course), and then I'd put him on the floor and toss out crickets, one at a time, and let him chase them. He loved it... til about 7 mo, and then he got lazier and lazier. Now the game's "wait for mom to bring me my food in the morning in a cup so's I don't have to chase them" :)

Sierra is pretty lazy when it comes to crickets. I haven't tried worms yet, she is a big fan of sit on the long and wait for one to come near...the only hunting I see is if I don't put enough crix in and then she has to chase them

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
