I've tried pretty much everything but he still hasn't pooped. I've been told to look for black spots on his stomach and I have checked every day and there is none. He still eats like normal. He just hasn't pooped.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,
Brandon.

Give him a bath, while soaking rub his belly from front to back gently. See if he starts to strain or push, might come shooting out. If he does poo, see what may have caused the clog. If the urate is big, touch it with something to see if it is hard or soft.

Well, after about 30 mins of massaging. And a lot of straining on his part. He pooped. A lot.

Poop was firm and normal, but the urate was harder than usual.

So that's what caused it?

Is it anything to worry about or no?

A hard urate usually means to much calcium and/or dehydration. Only dust once a day lightly if they are under a year old, over a year 3x a week. Try giving them a bath a few times a week until the urate becomes normal again.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
