Laying infertile eggs

My beardie Emma is laying infertile eggs, right now. This is the first time she's done it. She is really fat normally, and I didn't know she had eggs. She was scratching and digging, but she's done this before. Should I get her a lay box, or just leave her to finish. Also how will I know when she is done and has laid all her eggs? I'm afraid she'll get egg bound. Also do beardie eggs have hard shells like chicken eggs, or leathery shells? Her eggs have leathery shells.

Lay box would be a good idea that way she is comfortable to lay as many as she can get out. make sure you follow the guidlines in helping her recover from egg layings.

I made a make shift lay box, out of a round rubbermaid tub and 50lbs of damp play sand. I put a clamp on top to keep her warm. She's in there, but she's not digging. I can see her pushing still, tho. I went to dig her a starter hole and she hissed at me. She's never hissed at me before. Should I leave her in there with the light on all night, or can I turn it off? I'm going to make her a proper box tommorrow that I can fit into her cage, so she'll be more comfortable.

So I left her in the lay box all night, checking up on her when I woke up during th night. Last count she had laid 23 eggs. At 5am this morning she had filled up my starter hole with sand and had been packing areas of sand down with her head. She never laid any eggs in the hole tho, just around the surface of the sand Then she laid one more at 7am. It is now 9am and I don't see any new eggs. I think she is done laying, she is very tired and relaxed now(let me pick her up with no hissing) and I don't see anymore contractions in sides. She is also not as round. I gave her some crickets, which she gobbled down. She loves to eat. I'm letting her soak now and an going to put her back in her cage.

Ok, I dug through the sand and the grand total.......*drumroll*...... is 28 eggs. One is so white and perfect, I find it hard to believe it wouldn't hatch.
