hey everyone, so lenny is currently in a 40gb. however I bought a tank that is 64 long, 18 inches deep and 24 inches tall.

I currently have a 36in uvb, do I need to get a second uvb and fixture to span the length?
Also, I know I will need a heavier wattage bulb for temps, but I also have a CHE, do I have to make that run on the far side during the day now just because the tank is so large?
Also, because the tank is so tall, how close do I have to have his basking spot to the UVB fixture?

A ubv light only needs to got 1/3 of the tank. So I dont think you need to get other one. I think it is 8inc.

The UVB should be long enough, just mount it in the middle somewhere. As far as the CHE you may need to run it during the day, but you will only know once you start testing the temps in the cage. Just remember you still want to have a nice temp gradient. As rdoyle said the dragon should be able to get within 6 - 8 inches of the bulb.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
