laid 1 single egg. Please help!

Hi, my beardie is currently on baytril for egg periniotis, she reabsorbed her last clutch of eggs and 1 burst. she's been on the meds for 3 weeks. she's currently gravid again and laid 1 single egg on Sunday morning but nothing since, she's still digging but not showing signs of trying to lay. Is it normal for them to lay only the 1 egg and then the clutch a few days later? She's at vets tomorrow evening but I'm starting to get a little worried that she's not laid the rest of her eggs yet. She has a laybox in her viv that is covered over for privacy and she spends a fair amount of time digging in there. She's had other health issues like reoccurring RI's and parasites. Should I be worried or just leave her be and she will lay when she's ready? Any help would be greatly appreciated, I keep googling for answers but it's not really coming up with much.

Hi there....sometimes one egg will come out as they are still looking + digging around the nest site. She may even drop a few more, [ and they can drop more eggs after the clutch is laid, too ] but hopefully she will lay the rest without any problems. She may be at higher risk of complications since she has already had so many health issues. Hopefully your vet will know what to do if she becomes ill/eggbound....some dragons are spayed if that happens. For now it's good that she's digging, hopefully she is ready to lay and it all goes smoothly. You can take her out for a 10 minute warm bath, but pat her dry immediately after and put her back in so she can continue to dig. But if she has a nice big hole dug and is working at it it might be best to leave her to do her digging.

thanks for replying. the vet suggested we have her spayed as soon as she's Well enough for surgery. She's just digging in in different areas of her laybox, never dig's a hole as such just kicks her sand everywhere, she kicks it to one side of the lay box then moves to that side then kicks it back to the other side. I've just put a sheet over the front of her viv doors in the hope it's the lack of privacy she's not happy about, she started digging at the other end of her viv this morning so ive put a tupper ware box filled with playsand in at this spot for Now as that's all ive got to hand, she's been going from that one and the actual lay box all morning.

It sounds like she's ready to lay anytime now. Sand is fine for laying, I used it all the time. Have you added water to the sand so that it's damp ? They don't like dry sand....so if you need to, add some warm water and mix it up and then start a tunnel for her.

Yeah I've added water to it so it forms shape but it's not too wet. I've tried starting a hole for her but she fills it in. She's sat under her uv now so I'll take the opportunity to give her a bath. I think I have the world's pickiest layer lol.

Hi, just to update I took her to vets this evening he gave her a shot of oxytocin and said he would give her another on Friday if she hadn't laid and then another on Monday if she still hadn't laid, if by weds she hadn't laid still He would go ahead with the spaying. Little madam laid her eggs on the way home from the vets in the car, I stayed with her in the car until it sounded like she had finished and had started to bury them and then put her in the viv with the box, she went a bit loopy and head banging the box which I presume is the after affects of the oxytocin, in the end I took her out and put her under the heat lamp and she went of to dig, left lights on till she settled and now all is quiet. I sure if she has any left but ill have a feel in morning.

Wow, good to hear, but what an experience for you both. :) Thankfully she laid them and hopefully she'll be fine now.

The egg she laid on Sunday was fairly solid, she laid 21 eggs last night and all squishy (all Infertile as she's never been with a male to my knowledge), I had upped her calcium but obviously can't have been enough, I'll up it a little more while she's recovering. Hopefully this is her last clutch for awhile, she's had 3 in 3 months and had problems with 2 of them :(

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
