Hey All,

I have a situation which is the same as this post: http://www.beardeddragon.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=121448

I don't really want to bother the little guy (not very little any more) by prying his mouth open to get some photos. Although, I took him to the vet the other day and she suggested that it could be a sign of him maturing.... Now has anyone herd of this before? I personally feel like the Vet there didn't really have to much of an idea of what they were talking about and didn't feel comfortable with her judgement.

There is no signs of moth rot, nor is he showing any major symptoms. His appetite has gone down a bit, but he does that from time to time and isn't out of the norm. I dropped off a poop sample to get tested for any parasites, but just wanted to get some feedback of others here to see if they have had/heard of anything similar.

This is a relatively common ailment/issue among reptiles who are carnivorous. It most likely is not mouth rot, but you can get some betadine & dilute it down to look like very weak tea. Then, get a swab or a small soft tooth brush to try & clean out the mouth area or affected teeth.
Does your dragon eat many greens or vegetation?
You could also consider getting some dragon pellets for some crunch to help clean the teeth, also.
