Khan's first blackbeard

Well, some of you might remember that I had some questions about Khan's lack of black-bearding or displaying. Today (just 5 minutes ago) I was sitting on my bed and heard this ruckus coming from Khan's home. He had jumped from his basking site and ran toward the middle of the enclosure like something had startled him. All of a sudden, he puffs his beard and it goes jet black! What a display, it was quite impressive. I didn't have my good camera so I took some crappy quality photos on my phone.

What a little man! I'm such a proud parent

sydney will go black almost all the way to his stomach then stomp around his tank :lol:

yea they will stomp then headbob some times i wounder if they get headaches from all that headbobbing

Awwww congrats!! Bones just started the same thing today -- sooo proud! He will not let me get a pic of his blackbeard, though. Khan is so mighty!!

Ah he's now a man! Congrats. My baby did her 1st beard today too- she's shedding and was rubbing her back all over- she must have got a bit grumpy and i was shocked to see her balloon her body up and puff out her beard
