I have several locusts now, i bought about 20 for my beardie from the reptile shop.. they problem is over half of them have died already! i dont know what im doing wrong here..

I Keep them in a medium sized plastic container i got from the petshop with sawdust in the bottom and some cut up egg boxes for them to hide in, but here's the thing, i only have cricket food which i got free with the viv.. i think this may be the problem, does anyone know if locusts eat and can survive off cricket food? if not what should i be putting in there for them to eat?

Hi there

Just looking through to find how to bread locust & saw your question.

They are greedy as anything & will eat any of your greens for your BD qhite hapily. Have you got them under a UV at all cos they like there heat/light

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
