I caught Norbert twice in the past few days head bobbing. I read on here that they start doing this around when they hit "puberty" around 6 months old? Norberts only 3 months...can they start head bobbing that early? or was it something else he was doing? Just curious :)

Babies sure do the strangest things!

He must think he is bigger and tougher than he actually is!

He must think he's tough. lol The two times I saw him do it was at the vet, after being put down by the vet after his exam, and last night after trying to jump off the bed a few times but I kept stopping him. He just started head bobbing for a few seconds. lol It was really cute/silly. :)

I caught him doing it even more today! He was head bobbing at a cricket before he ate it, and then again at his own reflection. Is this early puberty or something? lol

My George is 7 mo. old, and I caught him head bobbing for the first time today. He was apparently asserting his dominance over the cat. The cat ignored the whole display, naturally. Cracked me up. :) Your little guy is pretty precocious, head bobbing at 3 mo. Impressive!

I think Chief was right at 4 months old when he first bearded big and bobbed. He also stamped his feet around that time.

Norbert just bearded big and opened his mouth all big today for the first time! It was pretty scary...lol It wasnt at me though. I had him out side for the second time today while I was cleaning out his feeding tank, and a bird flew over and BAM! scary beard and wide open mouth. I was pretty scared to pick him up.. but as soon as I did he calmed down. (and then we went back inside...that was enough sun for one day) Im still surprised at all these displays he's been showing lately being that he's only 3 months. Must be mature for his age.

I too have seen Stanley head-bob occassionally - at 2 months old was the earliest. He only does it at his food tho, LOL!

It so funny when Norbert head bobs at food! I love watching him do it, seeing what a tough guy he's becoming. lol

I got my dragon about two weeks ago, he is roughly four months old and 9 inches long. I saw him head bob for the first time today. I was feeding him and he just started doing it lol. He also did it to the cat that was annoying him, it likes to stare at his cage. He also puffs out at me and opens his mouth sometimes but calms down when I pet him, mist him, or pick him up. I think he does this because I have to reach down to get him and he doesn't like things above him really he gets spooked. He will run around his cage very fast away from me sometimes but once I get him he just sits there. I til he decides he wants to explore and jumps and runs away and tries to leap off the bed, he has done it twice it scares me because I don't want him to get hurt so I stop him most of the time unless he squeaks by. He also puffs out and opens up his mouth at my cat when he looks her in the eye.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
