Just picked up my first beardie! (Progression thread)

She is a sandfire tiger leatherback, and she is as sweet as they get! The place I got her from is a local (well, as local as an hour away counts as) herpetology place! The owner is a herpetologist, so all of the animals are treated well. And they also do rescues She is my very first dragon, and I have spent the past two months researching them so I hope I do good! My basic set up: 20 gallon long tank, reptisun 10.0, 100 watt bulb with a dome that is ceramic on the inside, paper towel as substrate (until I can get some tile cut out for me), a climbing rock closer to the dome as a basking spot, a bowl for salad, and a screen top. Anything I am missing? (I have calcium and vitamin supplements.)

Been a long while since I updated, but my goodness she has brightened up sooo much!

Does she like it outside better now? My beardie Louis first hated it outside as well- he jumped off my arm and I had to chase him through the entire backyard because he was terrified! I only caught him because he hit his little head at the grill ouch...Then I started bringing him outside when he was a little older and now he absolutely loves chilling on my belly in the sun funny animals!

(Turns out, she is actually a he. Caught him humping my sock the other day, so I redid the flashlight trick and found he's a boy! Lol)
And he's still pretty skeptical about being outside. I have started putting out a hide so he can go in and out freely to get him more comfortable.
He loves his beard scratched though!
