Just out of brumation and wont eat :(

Hi all My Soc has just come out of his first brumation (he was down for 5 days). He seems alert and runs around the viv, but he doesnt seem to have an appetite :? Is this normal? Before he went down he was eating bout 12 supers a day and all his veg and since he's woken up (2 days ago) he's had no salad and only about 7 worms over the two days I'm worried somthing might be wrong.

Brumation comes in many forms, and it could still be affecting his appetite even though he's not sleeping anymore. I wouldn't worry about it too much right now as long as he's behaving well, his tank temperatures and conditions are all correct, and he doesn't appear to be ill or losing weight.

I agree with Catalyst, brumation is different for each beardie. Elvis has been in hiding since December. He's awake during the day now but he won't budge from his hide, and wont eat or bask. But he still looks fat and healthy. As long as your beardie looks healthy, he's probably okay.
