Well recently I have switched my beardie to superworms when he reached 17" (he's only about 6 months old I think..). He used to be feeding off of crickets, but I didn't like how smelly and difficult they were to catch, so I decided to try supers.
The first time I gave them to him, I made sure to only give him a few and gradually get his digestive system used to them. It's been a few weeks and he loves them and is now used to them and he poops every day in his bath. I offer him about 10-20 supers in a day, along with his salad of collard greens, dandelion greens, kale and bok choy. Usually when he eats up to 20, I give them to him in increments throughout the day, not in one shot. I also dust the worms exactly like I would if they were crickets.
I was just wondering if I am feeding him too much? Too little? How many supers should he be eating in a day?
Also I notice that when he poops I can see bits of superworm shells in his poop, is this a problem?
