Me and my wife just recently purchased a young Beardie, we named him Grog, and we absolutely love him! We got him a pretty sweet setup but it doesnt seem beardies are that popular a pet in our area as things to find for him are hard to find. Is there any websites that i cant seem to find that sell cool and unique stuff for our lil Grog? Mainly lookin for one of those 3d like backgrounds for his 60 gallon tank that he can climb on and stuff. Any help would be appreciatted as we want to spoil him rotten!

We are glad we found a website such as this one and plan on participating as much as we can. Thanks and lookin forward to bein a part of this community.

We have come to find out that we build what we want.
There are all kinds of help here to get you started.
Just do not use pine, ceder woods, low temp pladtics, oil base paints stains or plain chip board.
Be sure to "bake " any wood or rocks you use from you yard/ outside to kill the mold / any other stuff.

Good luck, Doug, Rose, Spazz & Lucky

Hi, there are some great people on here that sell things for our pets. just look under for sale in the discussion forums and i'm sure you'll be able to find what you are looking for. Meanwhile, I have been Working with Ken at rock shop. He makes custom rock structures and I believe he has background stuff also. His username is kjinxx2, and his website is www.rock-shop.weebly.com. He has been great to work with.

You have come to the right site to find lots of info for your beardies....I have learned so many things from here. Make sure you post pics of your baby, we love to see them. Welcome, and we look forward to seeing you around. Lisa

Thank you, ill check it out here after the game, btw GO GIANTS!!! i am not a Ravens or 9ers fan but i am a huge fan of football and the NY Giants cuz im from NYC. Anyway ill check that site out but it took me messing with it here and there all day today just to get my avatar and signature pics to work..all the size stipulations are killin me!!! Plus i do everything from my phone and not my comp so the mobile unfriendlyness is fustratin but ill fig it out. Me and my wife are very glad we joined this site/community nonetheless. Congrats on the new Beardie, I am a new owner myself. Not sure if this is the types of backgrounds you were looking for or not but in my opinion they rock..... http://www.bigappleherp.com/REPTILE-SUPPLIES/Backgrounds have many to choose from along with rock kits from the same manufacturer, prices are high along with shipping, but they do carry a nice selection. Universal rocks is the manufacture so you might want to try to contact them direct. I have used their products and find them to look extremely real and also be durable...... http://www.universalrocks.com/

I am editing in some more information on the products so people will be aware before purchasing.

The product is great but in some circumstances you may have to customize, meaning cutting to fit. Not all tanks are the same dimensions so shims or cutting may be required. To secure background in place I either use screws if to wood, or glue magnets much in the way mag-natural pieces work, you could also silicone directly to glass. I find that siliconing the entire perimeter is the best way to keep insects from hiding behind the background. The backs of these things are not flat but rather semi textured much like the fronts.

The rock kits are awesome but were not designed for flat bare bottom displays, so if you do not have sand but rather tile or something else like that then you many have to trim flat and silicone the rocks in place, they are also extremely light.

In my opinion this is a great company with great products, they originally designed these things for fish tanks but due to interest from the herp community they began to spray the backs with foam and offer us some options. In closing awesome product but you might have to do some work with them rather than just drop in place.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
