Just a quick brumation question...

Doodles has been brumating since the middle of October or so. She sleeps for about a week straight, and then I wake her up for a bath & to offer her some worms. She hasn't eaten anything for about 2 food-offerings, and before that she was just picking at a couple worms here and there. I know it's normal for her to not eat during brumation, and that she could lose a small amount of weight, I'm just wondering how much weight she could lose before I have a reason to be worried about her. She feels like she's lost maybe just a of couple grams, but her belly/body area in particular definitely looks smaller. Her arms & legs, tail and head are all the same, but her belly's shrunken down a bit. Could she just looking smaller because she's not always stuffed full of food??

If your dragon has only lost a couple grams then she will be fine...it is normal for them to loose a little during brumation. If she starts loosing alot..then you will need to get her to a vet. Brumation is a scary thing for first timers..isn't it?

YES it's terrifying! I worry about her all the time anyways, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be freaking out every single year.

Ha ha,,,do you have a set of scales? You can get one pretty cheap at walmart in the kitchen section. Digital scales and you can put a paper plate on it and set it back to zero so that your dragon has room to get weighed without falling off the small clear plate that is on it.
One of the best things I have bought!!
Nothing makes me happier than to wake up in the morning and see one of my dragons up for a few hours!!
