Jumping out of feeding container

Just recently Puff has been jumping out of his feeding container. I feed him in a dark blue taller rubbermaid with reptile carpet in the bottom so it is easier for him to get around. I had his tank separated while he was smaller and was feeding him in the unoccupied part of the tank (had no problem feeding him in that), after I made his tank bigger I started feeding him in his bath but he doesn't like his bath (clear small rubbermaid) so I didn't want him to be scared of feeding so I bought the blue one. Now he is on his 6th day out of 10 of parasite treatment. He stopped eating for 7days and has recently began to eat again. He will only eat for about 5-8minutes then jump out of the blue rubbermaid. He used to eat for the full 15mintues and about 100 crix a day. I know it will take him a while to start eating like that again because of his parasites but what is with the jumping out of his cage? Any ideas would be greatly apprecaited! Thanks in advance! :mrgreen:

Oops I made a mistake my question is: what is with the jumping out of the rubbermaid not his cage. Sorry all!

That's his way of letting you know that he's had enough and wants out. Pookie used to do the same thing when he was a baby and ate out of a dishpan. When he was done, he was DONE! There was no way of keeping him in there.

I figured as much! I just wanted to make sure he wasnt scared of his feeding tank and not eating what he wants cause he gets to scared and jumps out. Thanks for your response!

A hundred crickets PER DAY? Are they the tinier ones? I keep Bentley on the larger crickets and I have to stop myself from feeding him more than seven or eight a day, he grew such a Buddha belly since I bought him in December because I love seeing how happy he gets when he's chowing down lol

Puff is only 11inches so he is still on 2week old crickets (the size between his eyes) But yup 100 a day in a 10-15 minutes time period until he got sick Now he is only eating 30 a day but he is still on the road to recovery.
