Jumping Off His Perch?

So I just recently got my beardie Elliot and I'm kind of new-second night with him to be exact- he's been great. I've been monitoring temps all day and he's been perfect. I reduced heat for night time and turned off the uv bulb. Well now he's acting really weird. He keeps climbing on his basking perch and jumping off? He also windsurfed the glass a little. I thought maybe he wanted some attention but he didn't act like he wanted me when I came to him. What the heck is wrong with my suicidal dragon? Btw I saw someone say somewhere online theirs does this when shedding- which he is doing-but if that's the case then why?

Is the light on when he's trying to sleep? They like it dark. If it gets below 65F in the tank at night, use a ceramic heat emitter, which gives heat but no light.

I find that giving my guy a nice long soak in warm water helps to alleviate his suicidal tendencies! Mine jumps, climbs, jumps from perch to perch, runs, and basically won't stop moving. After a nice long soak in warm water he settles down. My friends dragon will hide in his cave for days when he is shedding. Mine Never goes in his cave. Ever.
