I bought a baby dragon 4 weeks ago, well he's 5 months old so not quite a baby but my baby, and every time I hold him he would instantly try and run away, lately sits for a min and then tries to run but last night was different! I was holding Keenan (leopard gecko) and when charmander (beardie) seen him he jumped from his hammock ran to front of glass and laid flat head and all staring at me. I was worried so I put Keenan back and grab charmander. He or she gave me no fuss coming out and we just laid in my bed him flattened on my hand, head up looking at me while I talked. He never once tried to run, which worried me. I wasn't sure if he was feeling ok, So I ran him a bath and he didn't even try to jump out like usual. Just sat there while I rubbed him down with water. After the bath I went to put him back in the enclosure and he would not get off my hand, usually he runs right off, no matter where I tried to set him, hammock, basking rock, vine, ground he would not come off. So I went back to my bed and handed him to my girlfriend and he sat for about 10 seconds and ran right off back to me, tired this about 4 times and every time right back to me. We sat there me talking and him looking at my soaking up the heat from my hand. After about an hour I put I'm back, he slowly crawled off my hand and just looked at me the whole time while I prepared his night meal. I put the crickets in and he ate every last one and lil bit of veggies and then went to bask. It was our first bonding moment. Idk if he was playing hard to get all this time and seeing Keenan in my hand made him think he was being replaced so he gave in or what but it was my happiest moment since I bought him!
