i haven't snapped any new pics of good ol Lucifer, but he is def growing... he had his first full on shed last week. came home to a bigger Lucifer and a smaller old self laying in the tank. lol. i have tested the waters with this little creature. first only being able to run around in the bathroom with a closed door. i then opened the bathroom and allowed him to roam around in the bathroom AND hallway. which he seems to like...he also seems to like going into the bathroom and making a bomb dive out into the hallway and right over to the dogs door gate... where he likes to try and climb through.. (i must find a better way of keeping him in one area as he would climb through the gate if not being watched). the dogs are SUPER curious about him... i can't wait until Lucifer if big enough that the pups will just be a size or two bigger than him.... lastnight we cleaned his tank out. i finally got rid of the sand, and layered the tank with paper towels. oddly enough, the papar towels make the tank look smoother and cleaner. when it came close to bed time i scooped the little guy up, placed him on my chest under my zip up hoodie... at first he was fully covered.. he did not like this and poked his head out. it took a while for him to finally get comfy. this was the very first time i have ever had him on my chest. and, he fell asleep there. he fought it, wasn't sure about where he was at or why he was seeing a different part of the house. but he finally calmed down and fell asleep. when i returned him to the tank i made a small bed for him out of a towel. he did wake up and was alittle startled when i placed him in the tank... but as soon as i covered him with the towel he fell right back to sleep... in fact this morning when his lights came on i had to peel back the make shift blanket and force him to wake up... lol.... we will have had him for a full month in a few days, so im hoping soon he will start settling in... this weekend will start the project of making a 4X2X2. i have some of the materials.. enough to start the structure. i went with 1/4 birch plywood, and am thinking about going back and just doing the 3/4 as im not wanting to make a frame for it all... still debating... purchased a new Arcadia light fixture with bulb, a track for the plexi glass, and picked up everything else from home depot. well, thats the update i guess.... i also started using an app called "alfred" to watch the little guy while at work... i started with an app called icam, which i found through some of the users here.. but could not get it to work when not on the same wifi as my webcam at home... and honestly haven't had the time away from the family to really look into the settings and getting it to work... once i do, i'll try and figure out how to stream it for everyone to see!
