ok the one on the cool side for ambient temps is good but you want that probe one for the hammock if your using that as a basking area - place the probe on the hammock where she sits for basking and get the surface basking temp- do her eyes look like they are starting to shed - sometimes they will bulge which means they are stretching to loosen the skin if they are going to shed - and yes you can can replace it like ahbd posted -- as long as she has the T5 that she can sit directly under it and the good surface basking temps shes going to go to those lights as she needs them - she knows what she needs -- have you tried recording the video on you tube? take that link and post it when you get it of her walking --Her cool side is at exactly 80 right now, I only have a light bulb on that side. I have a hand held digital probe I think. I attached a picture of what I have. I’ve never used it because I didn’t know how to use it properly or even what it was for to be honest. I need to put a basking spot under the tube light? Sorry I’m getting a little confused. She has a basking area that’s right under her basking bulb and mercury vapor bulb. My son asked me if it was burning her because the screen is cut out so I lowered her basking area because any higher it burns your hand so I assumed it was too hot for her as well. Idk I have struggled with getting the lights perfect but I must be missing something. I definitely need to keep track of dates on them, that’s for sure. I did at first but things get chaotic and my adhd takes over and I feel bad that I didn’t keep up on that. Thank you by the way for helping me. I just want the best for her and I still seem to be doing something wrong.
I'd get one of these to test your bulbs; They come in handy.I honestly can’t keep track of the age of the bulbs because I’ve bought so many and have been replacing them frequently. Just bought the solar Flo all in one and new basking bulb less than a month ago. Tube light is under a year old, and the others are around the same time frame if I’d have to guess.
MVBs are for advanced research and are a little more difficult to house a Dragon under. Can I remove the all in one solar Glo? Without any issues? I have noticed her eyes having issue since having replaced that bulb but I just thought it was her shedding/skin issues. But she does rotate between keeping each eye closed, one at a time. Or both sometimes.
How many MVBs are you using.?I’m in north olmsted Ohio so Cleveland I suppose but I’m willing to drive any distance if I can find a reputable specialist. We’ve seen 7 in our area (including canton and Akron) and have not been helpful. I am going to attach pictures of her enclosures and the lighting along with the temps. She has full access to both enclosures at all times, we cut 2 holes in the screen of her main house so the light would reach better. The loose substrate enclosure is a newer edition (about a month) and no water is put in that enclosure but she has one in the other house. No loose bugs are given inside of either enclosure.
Her skin looks worse than it’s ever been before. Idk what the issue is or how to help her. It seems as though she has a significant amount of stuck shed in several areas and it’s as if her limbs are being restricted in a way. She’s dark all over her body now and hasn’t eaten in 3 days.Hello,
How is your dragon doing now, has her shedding improved?
As a lot of us do, you can use a combination lighting, with the Solar Glo MVB along with
a tube bulb too.
Let us know how she is doing.

Can you post new pics of her ? There hasn't actually been a problem in the past, just uneven shed and the you've been pulling + scrubbing at it. She is very well fed and chubby so they can sometimes go off food for a few days, especially during shedding. Being a female there's the possibility of developing eggs though but they usually stop eating only right before laying and then they will scratch around frantically for a laying spot.
Hello,
So sorry this has been going on. Since it doesn't seem to be improving, it might be a good idea to try
& get a skin culture done on her if possible. Do you have new pictures of her?
What are you using on her scales currently? Have you tried aloe vera gel or coconut oil on the rough
patches?

Whats really crazy is I just bought 100% pure organic powdered aloe today, to help with my own skin so I’ll use it on her as well. Is it just stuck shed or something? I feel so terrible for her, and I feel so so bad that I have been failing to resolve this issue. I can’t thank you enough for your support and guidance. It truly means everythingI agree with Tracie, a little bit of plain aloe [ with no added ingredients like alcohol ] can help those uneven spots. Some dragons just seem to be more prone to that. Make sure the heat bulbs aren't too close. Other than that she should do O.K.
The hindering part I thought of too, because at one point she was shedding beautifully (healthy looking shed) and then all of a sudden it’s like the shed re attached to her body and latched back on and has been stuck ever since. But idk which product did it.Oh yeah, that's a lot of stuff. Maybe some of it hindered the shedding process so I think you're right to just let it be now.
