Issues w/order

It depends on the fridge setting, and in the door is generally the least cold area. I keep my Waxworms in the butter compartment in the fridge and they go dormant, moving around again when warmed back up. Never tried with BSFL though

I was ordering from Dubiaroaches.com, too. My order got messed up as well. I ordered only 100 roaches when I first tried Spike with them, especially since I didn't know if she would eat them or not, and it took a week and a half to get my shipment. I tried calling and everything, and nothing. Once my shipment arrived, they didn't look all that healthy. Then, not even 4 days later I get another shipment of 100 more, which I didn't order, but my card was charged for anyway. I gave up with them, needless to say.
I now get my roaches from ABDragons.com and LOVE it! It says that they only ship on Monday and Tuesdays, but I always have them within 2-3 days if I order on Monday. The roaches even come with some food in the container, too, which I like. They have been nice and healthy looking since I have been ordering.
I order BSFL from symtonbsf.com and normally have them within 2-3 days, as well. Spike likes the Jumbo ones. I order 500 at a time and it lasts her all month. Do not put them in the fridge! Haha. I made that mistake because I too read from dubiaroaches.com to put them in the fridge. Yeah, no. My basement worked a lot better! Spike didn't like the ones that got real dark colored; she would spit them out, but the few that did turn into flies, she had a field day chasing around her tank. (They couldn't get out because of the lid being on and honestly, they don't really move all that fast.)

OMG! You serious!? OKay i need to go and dispute ASAP. I cannot trust them anymore and do not want to pay all that money for dead insects. As you know dubias are not exactly cheap plus i ordered some BSFL's well. Too bad they could of had good paying customer but i am so over it!

I will try ABDragons.com and see how that goes. Thanks for that fridge tip. I always gotten small amounts of BSFL to see how quickly my beardie eats them so i can adjust for next time ordering. Thank you for pointing out with dubiaroaches.com site. Its pretty sad that they were online on Facebook but didnt tell me anything about the order. Phone number keeps ringing and then straight to voicemail. Order package details just keep saying "pre-shipment", that's scandalous and messed up service :x :roll:

Quick question, how many does you beardie eat BSFL for each meal?

It honestly depended on her. For a while she was eating roughly 25-35 a day in the beginning when I first brought her home. (She RARELY eats 3 times a day for me even though I offer, even now.) But after about the first month and a half, she cut way back, especially once she started eating the dubias. Now, she will only on occasion eat BSFL so I stopped buying so much at one time. She has gotten quite picky about her food, especially recently. Right now if it isn't a hornworm or dubia, she won't touch it.

They can be quite picky cant they?! Some days my beardie loves salads... next day not soo much :lol: I guess it depends on each beardie as to many as they will eat. I will try a small order first and then go from there see how he eats. Thats what i was doing with dubiaroaches.com , i figured if i ordered more than i wouldn't have to keep paying for shipping etc. But on both of those websites http://abdragons.com/ and http://www.symtonbsf.com/ has free shipping so thats good.

Ohhhh when you ordered from dubiaroaches.com like say the first time you ever made a purchase no problem right? But the next time you ordered, that is when the problem occurred with the shipping and all?

I get my roaches from them and haven't had any issues with arrival or dead ones My first order was slow but I just emailed them to check the status and they shipped out immediately after my email.

This is my 2nd time ordering from them and will be my last :lol: Literally a week ago, put the order in and then yesterday i got an update from tracking number. How ironically they did something only because i tried to dispute through Paypal. Right after i did that, then get the update. Hmm, interesting. I just hope i don't have dead insects. If so, going to take photos and tell them. They did not respond to my emails, through Facebook or even on the phone. Simple communication would be ideal.

You could always record your "unboxing" of them, too.
That way if there is an issue with anything inside, it's proof you did not tamper with it somehow prior to photos

I emailed because I have never had a bad experience with them and when they sent me too few dubia roaches one time they were super good at reimbursing me.
The reason you haven't gotten your package yet is because they were behind on BSFL. I'm not sure if that meant that they hadn't gotten a shipment in, they just lost a colony, or the demand was higher than a supply, but they didn't have enough BSFL for our orders.
Mine just got shipped yesterday, so maybe yours did too!

Thanks for the heads up. At least they had the decency to reply to you. I did get a tracking number from them and it says its out for delivery today so i hope i get it soon and they are alive inside.

I'm sorry they didn't respond to you I wouldn't worry about them being alive, though. I've never received a single dead bug from them and it's not like the grubs have been sitting around in the box since you ordered them, you know? I honestly don't think they were even packaged until yesterday.

I really hope that's the case that they just prepared it on Monday when i received the updated tracking information. Once i get them going to record on video to make sure and if the insects are dead going to send the video to company. Hopefully that doesn't happen but just to be safe.

The funny thing is i ordered from https://symtonbsf.com/ and the worms arrived not too long ago. I ordered them on Monday and already here. OMG so im going to have tons of worms :lol: Wasnt sure if dubiaroaches.com company was ever going to send it and my beardie needs those feeders so now he'll have a nice buffet for the next couple weeks to month
