Hi all, I have a quick question. Is this light dimmer the ones I see people on here recommending? http://www.amazon.com/Lutron-TT-300...-Black/dp/B00024BJZE/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
Nim's basking spot seems to be a bit too hot and I have a 75 watt bulb in the fixture. So I want to get a dimmer. This one seems to be the only one but there are many bad reviews about it on Amazon. I've already stressed enough about Nim's lighting, I don't want to buy this dimmer and have it break. So imput or tips or whatever would be great. Thanks. :D

Yeah, but the way my tank is set up the raise/lower trick wouldn't work. But I did put in a 60 watt bulb that seems to be doing better. So we may be good. Nim did seem to be on the basking rock more with the 60 watt and the top of the basking rock didn't feel extremely hot. Thanks for the advice, though. :D

I don't know if it's the one that's recommended on here, but it is the one I'm currently using. Works just fine for me. The only thing I would mention is make sure you have room for the plug. I have mine plugged into a timer, and this particular timer has it's outlets on the side, not the front. So I did have one household outlet that I couldn't plug the timer into, because the dimmer's plug with the light fixture's plug plugged into it stuck out too far and interfered with a beam on the ceiling (hard to explain, just note that your light fixture will plug straight into the dimmer plug which then plugs straight into your timer, so you'll have the combined length of the 2 plugs to accommodate).

I use that dimmer with my basking light with no problems. I even use it on the UTH for my leopard geckos.

I picked up my light dimmers from Home Depot and they work just fine. They were around 11-12 bucks each 300 watt max. Never had a problem just make sure you check the wattage. :)

Thanks for the help guys. But you can stop now, LOL. Okay then, I'll go to Home Depot and take a look around. Nim's doing fine with the 60 watt bulb, but I'll keep the dimmer in mind when he upgrades to a larger tank or something. :D And I like your setup, beardieparents7780, LOL.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
