Hello Everyone i have a bd he will be 1 in june n he is only 12inch isn't that to small for him to b he eat like a pig but i think he not growing so i wanna know if thats a normal
here r sum pics
Bearded dragons grow at different rates. My 9 month old dragon is 17 3/4 inches. Some don't get very big, others do. What type of UVB lighting are you using?
Genetic background
If it comes from a smaller or slower growing line than 12 inches is about normal
Lighting
If you arent using a high quality UV light then he cant use nutrients as quickly and therefore grows slower
Food
Depends on the type of feeder you are using. And how much you allow him to eat. Dragons grow faster on higher nutrient food (like dubia roaches) and slower on less nutritious foods such as crickets and mealworms.
So hes 9 - 10 months now? If so then he still has quite a bit of time to catch up - he could grow another couple inches before his birthday - I had a 13 inch 11 month old female. Despite laying 3 clutches of eggs in the past 5 months (gravid when I got her!!) she has got up to 15 inches and still has a little bit of growing time left. However, take note of all spyder has said - make sure all of those things can be ruled out first!
