Is this mites or just random colours?

So while I was giving Shakespeare a bath the other day I noticed a few strange colour patches on him. They didn't come off with a bit of scrubbing and I didn't want to annoy him without knowing that they weren't just random colours. Can anyone tell me what they are, and if they're something wrong how do I help him?

This last one is slightly different. It's kind of like his scale's lifted a bit and there's dark stuff underneath D:

Hi there...do you mean the orange or black specks, or both ? It all just looks just like natural color, the black looks like little freckle -like, harmless blemishes. Once in a great while, dark black scales can be melanoma, nut it's unlikely....still, keep an eye on the black spots to watch if they get bigger.

Hey thanks for replying! I'm referring mainly to the red spots (they're only in the pictures without any black spots in them). They're the ones that I noticed in his most recent bath. The black spots have been there a bit longer and I always assumed they were just freckles, with the exception of the last image which I also just noticed.
I thought they were natural colours but I just wanted to make sure!
