Maynard has been looking a little pale in his head area lately. He's grown a lot, and I'm wondering/thinking he's just reached that threshold where they shed areas, and not whole bodies at one time but I'm not 100% sure so I wanted to check with you guys.
Here is his set-up:
Tank size-40gal breeder
Temps- 110 basking, 90 hot, 80 cool.
Bulbs - Reptisun 10.0 uvb 18", 2 100 watt floodlights, one over his basking and one off to the side for heating (our house is drafty).
Substrate- Tile, cleaned daily
Bathing - every 1-3 days, depending on his mood. Some days he wants out, and some days he likes to snooze all day. This happened gradually and it wasn't a sudden thing.
Feeding- Greens (mustard and turnip), carrots, squash, snap peas, and the little tops of broccoli 2x a day. All veggies are grated and super tiny. He's been eating them good and clearing his bowl. 10-15 small-med (somewhere in between the two sizes, not a mix of both) crix 2x a day. I have repti worms coming this week and I am sooo excited. He also eats dubia nymphs 2-3 a week.
He was recently on Albon for 10 days (a small amount each day, as diagnosed by vet-ugh) for cocci. treatment. I have to take him in for a reweigh and to have his fecals checked again in 4 days, but I'm doing this at the breeder where I bought him. He won't be on Albon again if he does need treatment.
He seems to be happy. He's jumping around, climbing his driftwood to bask. Here are the pictures, his head and legs are a little bit paler than the rest of him..:
