I heard somewhere that out of every 100 cockroaches, one of those will always be shedding/freshly shed and thus, white. This wasn't about feeder roaches, just roaches in general, but I wonder if it's accurate. Has anyone else ever heard this? I tried a google search but couldn't find anything. If it is correct, it'd be a good way to get a quick estimate on how many roaches you have (just count the white ones and multiply by 100).

ohhhh, that's from molting? I thought they were Leucistic translucent dubia and I was going to make a million dollars selling them!! Thanks for bursting THAT bubble

I have never heard that, sounds pretty interesting though.

In my experience more than one is molting...

I only have 200 adults and granted, I don't always catch them before their shell hardens again, but you can tell by the color of the shell how many have recently molted...it is a lot. If I checked my bin every day, every few hours I will get a freshly molted one.....I was doing that when that is all Razz would eat

Just my experience.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
