Hi all,

Hermes has had very liquidy poops lately. He has ALWAYS pooped every day since we got him in April, and noms his crickets and Phoenix Worms as fast as I feed them. He has recently taken very much interest in salad, eating 1-2 bowls a day. The last week or so, he has had some 'form' in his poop but most of it is pure liquid. Is it the additional salad? Is it the cantelope that I have added several times? (which incidentally I attribute to his poop smelling good :shock: even guests have commented 'what scent is that candle? lol) or might we have an issue here?
2 days ago I didn't put any cantalope. No poop. Yesterday I did put it in and huge puddle and he took a really long time, seemed like he was straining to get it all out. He was literally straining to get it all out while the puddle went under his belly ewww poor dude. I know he hated that.
I'm going to cut out the cantelope anyway, but thought I'd check if I should be looking at other things, given the strain he went thru yesterday. He usually doesn't even poop in front of me, waits til I leave the room (shy beardie :roll: ) but yesterday he took several minutes. His vent looks fine. I MADE him take a scrub yesterday tho that little brat has been hating his baths. At 12 1/2 months he's got twice the attitude of my 13-year old daughter!

Keep in mind the fruits like cantalope contain alot of water. Even veggies contain tons of h2o when fresh, so if the pooper is going nuts for them thats whats giving the runs

*sigh* I guess I choose to eschew the cantelope, b/c it seemed to make him so uncomfy. Sorry houseguests, no more beardie poop candles lol!!!!!!!!!!!

Great idea! You could also try drying some of it out and adding Beardie Poop Potpourri to the line!

Hi Yes I was 99% sure it was the fruit, but I'm a nervous beardie mom so straight to the ER I go lol!! He did seem very uncomfortable usually it's just *poop* *run* but it took him so long yesterday poor wittle guy... no cantalope in salad today! Funny... we didn't see the same reaction with apple or blackberry and grape made it *stinky* I need to find a veggie that makes poop smell good :wink:

Thanks for asking, I'm feeling much better... fever's finally gone and my body feels more like I've been beat with a baseball bat and less like I was put through a meat grinder. My boss told me yesterday, to just take today off too. They don't want what I had! So... I'll have had a week off... wish it was more enjoyable

It's nice to have a week off, but it's better if that week is spent not being sick. All I do when I'm that sick is to sleep.

Just thank your lucky stars that you have a job! I've been unemployed since last Aug! We had a really bad summer, too. We both (kid & I) got the flu. I think it was that darn bird flu going around. Glad you are feeling better! If I was posting feeling that bad none of the posts would have made any Sense. Like they do now :lol:

I don't even try to make sense anymore. I told Christy her babies had brown. (OK g is near b on the keyboard darnit) I am grateful I have a job and try to remind my co-workers when they get whiny. I hope things work out well for you, Freddiemom!
