sorry to come off that way i have just been keeping beardies and reptiles for possibly longer then you have been alive and love them so much with a passion. when i see a title to a thread like yours it tell me "no experience." prove me wrong though. whats your temps, tank size(gallons or measurements), food items, lighting, nutrients? im curious to see if this same petstore gave you those instructions also.
Excuse me? "Prove me wrong" I didnt realize this was a place you had to prove yourself as a beardie owner.
Who died and made you king? I thought this was a place to educate yourself.
My post says "no experience" but your post says "complete jerkoff"
Im not an *****, I know not to buy from Pet stores. They co-hab, their reptiles are sick and full of mites. I was merely asking what he was as I was aware their are different morphs, lines or whatever. "Normals" I have seen are greenish and he is orangey.
You response screams "I wouldnt have bought that beardie" and you know what? Who cares.
This is whats wrong with forums like this, they are full of people who cannot find anything to make themselves feel good or important in life, so they do the high and mighty on a beardie forum.
There ARE no dumb questions. How dare you make a newbie feel dumb for asking a question! If you were truly a lover of the reptile you'd be helping new owners, not criticizing them and making them "prove" themselves.
I have him in a 20L for now because he is only 5 inches. He will be moved to a 40 breeder when he is older. YES, I know he will get bigger. He is on a liner because I read sand is bad and since hes young hes going to be putting things he shouldnt in his mouth. His basking spot is 105. His warm side is 85 and his cool side is 70-75. I use an UTH at night on a thermostat set at 75 so he doesnt get too cold downstairs.
I gave him collard greens, kale and mustard greens, butternut squash, berries, but the only thing he will eat is crickets. I was told that was normal with babies. If its not moving, he wont eat it.
I have ordered Phoenix worms as well, they should be here tomorrow.
I am using thermometers with a probe because i know from owning corn snakes, those stick on thermeters dont measure where the animal comes into contact with and they are useless. I also have a repti sun 10.0 UVB linear bulb. His crickets are dusted with calcium vitamins.
Is that enough to satisfy you grandpa?
Im a hot shot on another reptile forum too....only I use my expertise to help newbies, not beat them down.
Shame on you.
