Is the placement of my uvb right?

I’ve placed my uvb light two different ways and I’ve had two different people tell me to switch it the other way, so I just wanted to get a couple more opinions or a poll on which placement of my uvb light is best. So I had it outward shining into the tank and someone told me to make it face downward so it’d be on him more, so I put it shining downward but then someone said I should shine it outward again because when it’s shining down it doesn’t get the whole front of his tank, so he only gets it when he’s underneath it near the back. So I’m assuming outward would be better but I really don’t know. He stand and wlaks on his wrist a lot, so I want to make sure he’s getting enough of his uvb light when he’s in his tank... obviously.

Facing downwards is how most everyone does it. If anything the only thing I'd change is moving it closer over the basking area. That way the basking area has the highest levels of heat and uv in the tank, and a proper gradient of the two can be achieved over to the cool end.
